EQUIP YOURSELF TO SURVIVE

Visit the Peddler to equip yourself with their latest antiquities. These items range from equipment to protect yourself with, to ways you can work out who is secretly working against you. Choose wisely, each decision will change the course of the Ritual.

INVESTIGATIVE ITEMS

Grab some tools to work out who you can trust.

Placed upon any idle Blood Altar. If an Infected activates the Blood Altar an alarm sounds loudly. The Infected will need to keep an eye out for any Motion Sensors and if they find any consider destroying them, which creates a small bang.

Thermal imaging goggles that will outline the heat signatures of other subjects across the map. Useful for pinpointing characters' positions.

The Mask is a formidable deception item, allowing you to disguise yourself as any subject at will. Subjects can disguise themselves as many times as they want, but the power of the mask will drain over the time period it is applied.

The Bag Scanner allows you to see the contents of another subject's inventory. With limited uses, it's a powerful tool to deduce roles, as their items provide insight. To counteract this item, store suspicious items with the peddler, avoid the scanner, or cast doubt on their results.

If someone is acting suspicious then you can throw this on them. You’ll be able to keep track of their location to make sure they’re not doing anything out of the ordinary.

The Invisibility Medallion is a powerful defensive tool that hides the subject from sight after a short warmup period. These subjects are unlocatable and will not be revealed on Soul Sight. It has limited time before wearing off and drains every second it is worn.

The Walkie Talkie gives subjects the ability to communicate from across the map.

The Decoy is a puissant deception item that spawns a decoy of that subject’s current appearance. The decoy will run off in the direction the subject is looking upon casting and will be destroyed upon any damage. It is highly effective when used correctly to shrug off pursuers.

OFFENSIVE ITEMS

Go aggressive to suppress and take down your targets before banishing them.

Powerful for downing subjects in the Reality Phase, the Pistol becomes useless whilst in the Inbetween. The Pistol comes with limited ammunition, make every shot count.

The Gas Grenade is a throwable item that will emit a poisonous gas for a period of time. Its primary use is to slowly damage subjects in a specific area while also obscuring some vision.

The Muzzle is a trap item that stops a subject's ability to speak for a period of time.

Handcuffs are a strong trap item that prevents the subject from doing any actions other than running or jumping.

The Ball & Chain is a trap item that greatly reduces a subject’s mobility it is placed upon.

The Knuckle Duster is a simple melee weapon that increases your attacking strength. If you can muster up the courage and close the distance on the opponent, these can be a very powerful item indeed!

Bandage

The Bandage is a consumable that replenishes your health, preventing you from getting downed in the Reality Phase. This item can be used in Reality or the Inbetween. The effect of the Bandage takes a short time and isn't instantaneous. Use this to heal yourself up if you are in a pinch.

Shroud your enemies in darkness with the Blindfold. This sinister item blinds victims, leaving them to stumble in confusion and fear, ripe for your wicked plans.

Available with the Clown DLC.

Prevents someone from hearing for a short period. Use on someone so they can't hear what you're about to say or use on yourself and blame it on somebody else.

DEFENSIVE ITEMS

Equip yourself with protection against enemies in Reality and Terrors during the Inbetween.

The Smoke Grenade is a throwable item that will emit smoke for a period of time. Its primary use is to obscure vision and cause disruption.

Sanity Serum regenerates your Sanity back to full. Time the use of this item wisely so you don't waste it.

A Light Trap can be placed on the ground. If a Terror runs over the trap then it gets triggered creating a flash of light and dazing them. As a Terror if you're aware of a Light Trap it's preferable to block as you approach the Light Trap.

The Adrenaline is a consumable that boosts your movement speed for a brief period of time.

The Camera's flash is a great tool to daze Terrors, and temporarily blind the Benefactors roaming eyes. Make the most of your limited charges and remember, a well-time block from a Terror can negate the daze effect.

During the Inbetween you can shine the Torch at the Terror to daze them and at Eyes to stun them. Also, quite a useful tool to see better in the Inbetween.

The Flare is a throwable item that will emit light for a period of time. Its primary use is to wear Terrors down, eventually stunning them.

Throw down a pad, then when you're ready activate the clicker to return to the pad location.

Return Pad

The Hammer of Mending is an item that allows the subject to repair a variety of objects around the map, such as CCTV cameras and cracks. Terrors and the Infected will often destroy these objects. It's a useful tool to get during the first Inbetween phase of the second Reality phase.
